They're gone? Great!

No doubt before they left they cleared the site of their rubbish and left it as they found it!

Also, as exiting, they were checked by Police for correct documents re Tax, Insurance and MOT's for the vehicles about to enter the road.

Or is this merely wishful thinking?  ::)

They've even trimmed the bushes, tidying up the paths, done some weeding and planted some flowers by way of a thank you   ;D

@ Kwacky.
Thanks.

Our local MP, Steve McCabe is now getting involved:

Steve McCabe MP is calling for Birmingham City Council to act now to prevent travellers moving on to Hazelwell Park and Recreation Ground.

Steve McCabe MP said:
Quote
“I am fed up of being contacted by my constituents who tell me that travellers have moved onto Hazelwell Park again and are leaving the place a complete mess. Each time the travellers are evicted but at the Council’s expense. How is this fair to the local community and Council tax payers?

Quote
“The Council are always telling us they are looking for ways to save money. So I have written to the Chief Executive again and told him one way they can save some is to put bollards up and stop the travellers from moving on to the park. “

Good to see him get involved.

Sadly the human crap is still in place.  You would have thought that the Council would have made that a priority to clean up given the potential health issues.

The end is nigh?

Traveller camps summit demanded to end 'cat and mouse' evictions
05:00, 15 JUL 2016 UPDATED 11:04, 15 JUL 2016
BY NEIL ELKES

Quote
Police and council bosses from across the West Midlands are being urged to end the annual ‘cat and mouse’ game of chasing travellers from park to park.

The call for a regional summit came as dozens of caravans occupied Selly Oak Park - the latest in a string of illegal camps in the last month.

Now city council bosses, fed up of evicting caravans from one park only for them to set up at another a day later, are calling for top level talks to find a permanent solution.

"There are ongoing problems with travellers, the mess they leave behind, the cost of cleaning it up and the cost of moving them on.

Forty caravans quit Selly Oak Park - for new camp a mile down the road.

Now they have moved onto Selly Park - leaving debris and human waste behind them

Hiya Kwacky,

Zippos Circus?

No such luck!

8:15 pm and there were 5 caravans.
This time closer to the Ripple R'd/Twyning R'd junction.

Yet again Stirchley is seen as a soft touch, even a haven for these 'travellers'.

Why's that?
Because BCC does nothing to deter them.

Another waste of our Council Tax money.

UPDATE

http://stevemccabe-mp.org.uk/node/897

Steve McCabe MP says urgent action is needed from the Council and Police over Stirchley Traveller Hotspot.
Wed, 2016-08-10 13:52

Quote
Steve McCabe MP says urgency is required in the talks involving West Midlands Police and Birmingham City Council in an effort to resolve the recurring ‘travellers’ problem which has disproportionately affected certain parts of Birmingham over the past year. Yesterday travellers moved onto Hazelwell Park and Recreation Ground after leaving the exact same site only a few weeks ago.

Since July 2015 travellers have moved on to the Stirchley site, next to Hunts Road, on five separate occasions. Each time the area is blighted by dumped rubbish, waste and reports of anti-social behaviour.

Talk is cheap.

Surely there are other methods to be used?  How about a costs order against them for the eviction, or a prosecution for fly tipping? Aren't there any anti-social orders that the Police can seek from the Courts?

Would you believe it, after just a couple of weeks or so after being evicted they are back!

This time on Hazelwell playing field also  >:(

Friday 8:35
1 Police car in attendance.

'Trevellers' cars being driven on the path.
Pedestrians avoiding them!
The children hurling abuse at passers by.

What will happen now?
Yes, the authorities will 'talk about' it and that's about it.

Time for action to stop this completely methinks.

There are two groups.  The smaller group on the Hunt's/Ripple Road side are not part of the main group and want nothing to do with them.
