Waitrose narrowly beats Aldi to be crowned the best UK supermarket... while Co-op is voted the WORST and 'shockingly behind everyone else' for value for money

Is anyone in Stirchley really surprised?

The Co-op does not in general position itself in direct competition with the others in the list, though there must be some concern at service and environment scores. Across the whole spectrum of supermarkets i'm sure there will be some discrepancies, one of which was the service i encountered in Sainsburys this evening.
Given that many own label products are produced by the same firms (some even by CWS for other labels), the scores for own label seem rather open to dispute.
The worrying thing if anything i take from the article is, the prospect (or not) of the next lowest on the list being the supermarket chosen to invigorate and revitalise the areas fortunes  :'(
