TASCO Ground
« on: January 21, 2014, 09:36:57 PM »
Who now owns the old TASCO?

I've noticed that the entrance to it from Hazelwell Lane is now a site for fly tipping.  I'm guessing the council won't touch it as it's not their responsibility?

Unless the sale has gone through, it still belongs to the co-op.
If the sale has gone through, it should belong to Stirchley working men's club.
However, I believe it will be rebuilt.
This is my understanding, I may be wrong.

Thanks.

I'll mention it to the Co-op and see what response I get.

Spoke to a couple who attend the Social club who intimated that they would be moving into the. TASCOS building after refurbishment was done.
Also that part of the building was to be converted into rentable accommodation. How reliable this info is I'm not sure.

Further to Jon's report above, the accommodation is for the club Stewart.

It's in a right old state now.  The rubbish is piled high.

I was amazed when I passed it the other day. So much for "Love Stirchley"?
