Works Information

Working in partnership with Birmingham City Council, Amey will be coming to Cartland Road to carry out improvement works to the carriageway. Resurfacing will take place during the day time from Thursday 5th September 2019.

Some noise disruption during our works may be unavoidable, however we will put all reasonable measures in place, for example ensuring unused plant is not left running, to reduce noise nuisance.
The opening description in this letter says where the works will be taking place as we do not always include the whole road length. See the map on the reverse.

Important access Information

The road will be completely closed to through-traffic during these works, however access to properties, shops and local community facilities will be maintained at all times. Our staff on site will inform you on approach if it is safe for you to enter. Please treat our workers with respect and follow their advice when accessing your property.

To allow us to complete these improvements, we are asking residents and businesses to avoid parking in the area. “No parking” signs will be placed in the areas affected. Where necessary, vehicles obstructing our works may be moved by our vehicle recovery partner, Mansfield. If you have any enquiries relating to vehicles moved from works sites, please call 0870 600 3444.

Bus diversions may be in place during this scheme. Further details of any service diversions can be found at:

We hope this information is helpful and we apologise for any inconvenience these works may cause.  We will make every effort to minimise any unnecessary disruption. Furthermore, those working on site will be briefed on working responsibly in the local community.
